"Two Candles Burn" is an exciting concept in new and original songs for Jewish Festivals. The songs were composed by Stephen Melzack who felt the time was right to create a fresh approach through music to stimulate and interest children (and adults) with each song carefully written to capture the essence of the Festivals.
Available on CD (with selected sing-a-long Backing tracks), the songs cover the main points of the Festivals and are sung in English using Key Hebrew words.
They have proved ideal for all ages of children including in particular Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 pupils, and are being used to lead singing in the Classroom or Assembly and introduce children to and support the teaching of Judaism in any School or Cheder. They have already received reviews in various educational publications including the T.E.S. Religious Education Supplement, Child Education Magazine and RE Today. As a result, schools throughout the Country (including special needs schools) are using the songs for this purpose.
Stephen has also produced a songbook for use with the CD.It contains Easy Piano music, lyrics, activities for the classroom and an explanation of the Festivals

He regularly appears in concerts and cabaret , organises educational music and songwriting workshops and seminars and featured in September 2008's "Simcha On The Square" festival held in Trafalgar Square
