| "Two Candles Burn"
is an exciting concept in new and original songs for Jewish Festivals.
The songs were composed by Stephen Melzack who felt the time was right
to create a fresh approach through music to stimulate and interest children
(and adults) with each song carefully written to capture the essence of
the Festivals.
Available on CD (with selected sing-a-long Backing tracks) and also Cassette, the songs cover the main points of the Festivals and are sung in English using Key Hebrew words (printed lyrics are included) They have proved ideal for all ages of children including in particular Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 pupils, and are being used to lead singing in the Classroom or Assembly and introduce children to and support the teaching of Judaism in any School or Cheder. They have already received reviews in various educational publications including the T.E.S. Religious Education Supplement, Child Education Magazine and Look Hear. As a result, schools throughout the Country (including special needs schools) are using the songs for this purpose. |

Stephen is an accomplished Singer/Songwriter and Performer who in 1992 won an International Jewish song competition with his composition "This Land" beating over three hundred entries worldwide.
He has had songs commercially recorded and published including songs for three English football teams-Luton Town, Queens Park Rangers and Tottenham Hotspur which became their official team songs and were played at the matches. The songs have recently been re-released on CD. He regularly performs at concerts and workshops, often joined by his daughters Louise and Cara, who provided the children's vocals and percussion. He has appeared on Spectrum Jewish Radio using his songs to teach younger listeners about the Jewish Festivals. |
